Tell Your Friends is the creation of sisters Lucy and Tiffany Watson.  For those of you who don’t watch Made in Chelsea, these pioneering reality TV stars are helping bring veganism into the mainstream, and full marks to them for establishing this restaurant.

Lucy Watson is most definitely one to watch for making waves in the vegan movement. She was very vocal about her animal activism on the show Made in Chelsea and has since gone on to write a vegan cookbook, open a vegan restaurant (alongside her sister Tiffany) and most recently created vegan healthy ready meals.

Tell Your Friends is situated in between leafy Parson’s Green and Fulham. The restaurant is set back from the road with a pavilion exterior giving a light and airy atmosphere inside. The back of the restaurant has a beautiful tiled bar and a string of booths.

We sat under the glass roof at the front and ordered the ‘chicken bites’ - hemp & sunflower crumbed jackfruit bites with BBQ sauce. These are hands down the most delicious ‘chicken nuggets’ we’ve ever tasted. When bitten into, the stringy white flesh looks unnervingly like the real thing. We then went for the Tamari Miso Smoked Mushrooms which are pan-grilled king oyster mushrooms served with creamy garlic truffle mash & tenderstem broccoli and also the Japanese Raw Bowl - cauliflower rice, carrot, cucumber ribbons, nori, smoked almonds, daikon, avocado & edamame, pumpkin & sesame seeds, with a tamari dressing. The smoked mushrooms were delicious, firm and meaty and the perfectly smooth truffle mash was luxuriously creamy and soft. The Japanese Raw Bowl was an eat the rainbow moment, fresh but filling and the combination of different flavours worked perfectly together. Downstairs there is a private dining area perfect for a larger get together…because, let’s face it, there are going to be a lot more vegans in 2019.
